Final Decision For The Crocheted Edge

Well, my little Crayola Checola/Crayola Vest is completed along with the crocheted edging.

After completing the vest, I grabbed a string and started crocheting before realizing that I would need to do a bit of coordinating because of the bold colors. I first chose a rust color from the Silk Garden. Nice but, I didn't like it. After trying two more shades, I setteled on the chartruse.

This is a wonderful pattern for a beginner knitter that would also like to get into cables.

No, It is Crocheting

I was crafting the other day in Starbucks with my blogless friend Camille. Well, actually she has a blog, she just doesn't blog often, or should I say ever. -- Anyway, I was working on my Baby Cable Vest and told her that I was going to feature the neckline on this crocheting blog because the neck has to be single crocheted. This sparked somewhat of a debate between us. She says the crocheted neckline of a vest is not worth featuring. Don't think of her as being rude, we are good enough pals so she can express herself to me like that.

I can sort of see her point, sort of . Since this blog hardly gets any action, I will be posting the crocheted neckline. Here is how the neck looks so far. I will be sewing the shoulders together this evening and completing it. I should be posting the final neckline sometime next week.
The yarn by the way is Noro Silk Garden. I have no idea which color number.

Again I'm Back

Hello Everyone,

I know, I know, that was a really looooooonnng break.

I've been spending most of my time doing the K word. Dare I say it on this crocheting blog. You know...(knitting). Shhhhhhhh.

Over the past few months I have been choosing patterns and yarns to use for crochet projects. I have everything in place and I'm ready to be dedicated to my crocheting and to my crochet blog. Now when I say dedicated I don't necessarily mean everyday. I would like to get crocheting in at least twice a week. I'd like to post at least twice or perhaps three times a month. We'll see how it all works out.

So for now, ON TO MY CROCHETING !!!
