Just Red !!!

I finally sat down and completed a crocheting project. Knitted hats are great but, who doesn't like a crocheted cap.

This is a cute little hat designed by Brittany Tyler. It's her Fan Stitch Hat and it's very cute.

She suggests a buckle or flower as an accent but with this hat being so RED, I like it as it is.

Back to Crocheting...

I've been pretty busy these past few months. I've been knitting a lot, working a lot and I moved.
The moving jumbled my schedule around something terrible and I lost my knitting mojo for a while. I still don't feel he's entirely with me. So, if I lost myknitting mojo, what do you think that did for my crocheting mojo. Right... There was at least some knitting going on. In terms of crocheting, nada.
While unpacking a couple of weeks ago I found this Arachne. I crocheted this last year out of Bernat Soy. I sewed in the ends the other day. It is very soft.
I've been looking at hat patterns to start on. As soon as I take a break from all of my little knitting projects, I'd like to try making a hat. I'm in the mood for something whimsy. Perhaps a toy, something cute for sure !

Isn't This Cute !!!

Oh, if I could find this pattern. Oh, if I had the patience to crochet those little stitches ! Oh, if my eyesight were only good enough !

I picked up this change purse at a resale shop this past weekend. There is a woman in my town that crafts up amazing items and donates them to the thrift stores.

It looks to me like this is made with a very thin thread and perhaps an 0 or #1 hook.

Amazing. What's even more amazing, they only charge $2 bucks for it !!!

Another Easy-As-Pie Scarf

Okay, I admit it, I'm hooked on, addicted to and in love with scarves. This scarf is made out of a shiny cotton by Caron. I found the stitch in an old magazine and adapted it to a skinny scarf. It goes like this.

The stitch is called a V-Stitch
(Double crochet, chain 2, double crochet)

  • ROW 1
  • I chained an odd number (I think it was 21 and dc'd in the 6th chain from the hook.
*I skipped the next 2 chains, then V-stitch in the next ch
repeat from * all the way across then turn.

ROW 2

Chain 5, dc in 1st chain 2 space, *V-stitch in the chain-2 of the NEXT V-stitch. Repeat from * all the way across.
You will end with a V-stitch under the turning-ch. Turn and repeat Row 2 over until you have the length you want.

See, I told you it was easy.

A Fall Shrug

This is the Hook & Weave Shrug by Jennifer Orr. I have been thinking about crocheting a shrug for the winter. I am considering this one perhaps in a navy.

OAYPP, I'm In...

Well, I haven't been crocheting much lately but for this event I will.

I think I'll sign up for that scarf event and do a minimum of 1 (ha-ha).

For the entire list of Team Overly Ambitious Yet Plausibly Possible (OAYPP). See Carolyn's blog. She is updating the list daily.

Wish me luck !!!
